It wouldn't surprise me to hear that happened here and I think it is probably the way things are heading.
I don't think that is right either.
If the British Government continues to fail protecting its citizens and their property there will come a time when the people will protect it for themselves. Not a good prospect. Come on government wake up. We need more police and more importantly they need to be better lead and have the support of the courts and law.

Interestingly enough had a email through from our crime commissioner outlining the use of reasonable force in case of home invasion any one else receive the same?

I did when the Disco came to a sudden stop after hitting some old cambridge rollers hidden in the long grass

The travelers are very aware as to how the law is interpreted and how it is enforced. Why else do you think they travel a lot off the time with the girlfriend and nipper in the van when thieving.
They know that the extra agencies (social services for one) and paperwork involved in an arrest means it rarely happens in what is probably classed as low level crime.

I think we need to help each other. Perhaps a Facebook page to alert where travellers are setting up so we can get a team together to move them on. A few slurry tankers and some big hairy farmers might soon move them on.
But this will only work if we help each other.
Lots of people are using Facebook to mobilise troops. We need to follow.

They live by FB - buying and selling and can handle that and communicate well "that way" ? Allegedly !

Ah there's a much easier way to get them to move on. Just install a thousand baths with hot running water and soap around the field perimeter.

Cast iron guarantee that will shift em on.
