Just letting everyone know that there a gang of travellers prowling round the Wrexham area an setting up camp on any field theyfind. We currently have them on our acre field by Cross Lanes nr Marchweil we have had to pay £355.00 to the courts to apply for an eviction an court hearing for them to be removed. They had broken the locks off the gate an gained entry an have since broken into our sheds an tonight have decided to have a fire in the field !! Police refuse to do anything as keep saying it's a civil matter !!! Despite criminal damage breaking an entering !! Please make sure all your land an property is secure as they don't seem to care !!!! Please can you all share to fellow land owners xx

Private bailiffs can remove travellers I believe with the use of common law from private property if instructed by the property owner or his or her agent or by those with control of the property ie a tenant. You have to ask the travellers to leave and if they refuse the bailiffs can then remove them with reasonable force. No need for an eviction notice can be gone in hours in some cases. Before eviction process starts the police should be notified.
This is not a cheap route to go down but has been used by two land owners near to me.

I hope I have my facts right and deserve to be corrected if not! I would want to talk to a solicitor before I embarked on this route

This and the surrounding farmers need to buy caravans and park up on the local MP's driveway, its the only way that anything is going to change. In 2018 innocent folk should not have to witness their property and equipment being destroyed and stolen!

Makes my blood boil.

One of the main reasons we moved from Northamptonshire to Scotland - they do come here (for their holidays?) but not often.
Could tell a hundred stories - would take all night. Wonder if it's any better there now?
