It’s then the drivers responsibility. You feel a lemon on the weight bridge a tonne under but even more of a wally having to go back down into the hole to loose half a tonne!!!
Neighbors had some work done two weeks ago by are local greasey haired mob.
They came out the quarry with about 2 tons on a transit tipper ,the tyres were near flat ,if load had been about they would have locked them up

I have asked Yorkshire dales planners and they said if it’s small scale then I don’t need planning. They wouldn’t explain what “small scale” meant 😂
Stumbled across this conversation and we are doing the same. However our local planners, YDNP are insisting we need permission, even for small scale.... are you in the National park where your quarry is?

I am not sure, I will try and find something but while it is on the farm it would be permitted development for your own use but when selling it it would be an engineering operation for commercial purposes and should have change of use.
we had a visit from the planning enforcement brigade, accusing me of selling stone, from our own on farm quarry.

they had confused me with a local builder, of the same surname, he was a 'slippery' outfit.

not a nice visit, they were very arrogant, very sure of themselves, and lots of aerial photo's.

we had to 'check' various photo's, mostly where round feeders had been, and other 'suspicious' places.

confirmed we can use as much of our own stone, on farm, as we want.

realised they were chasing the wrong man, no apologies, but it was p1ssing down with rain, and they had to look at our quarry, no hard track to it, no wellies, no jackets, and l managed to keep them there for 1/2 hour, :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: they were soaked right through.

that was during the last F&M, shut down, point blank refusal to 'disinfect etc', and couldn't stop them coming on farm, they have right of entry, and would call the police if l kept refusing.

made a complaint about bio security, the answer came back, the rules exempted them 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

had nothing to hide, so didn't see any point pursuing it further, might be a day when l am doing something 'iffy' !!
