AI after estrumate

It's actually sucklers but I have been aiing at a dairy farm I work on.
I have jabbed 30 sucklers Saturday with estrumate and put kaymars on. Sat night one had gone red but Im 90% that was a knock.
Sun am 2 more red, no real signs of riding, hair ruffled etc but 1 is slimeing a little so going to ai tonight, hopefully she'll have loads of slime when I get hand in.
I plan to have my hand in the other possibly try the ai gun in to see if cervix is open.
Will these cows have come on bulling literally 18hrs after estrumate or will it be natural heat, will I have affected it with estrumate.
Any more tips sucklers seem a lot harder to spot bulling, doesn't help they've been out grazing and are now in for AI.
I know the little thing, like ears up sweating etc to watch for won't necessarily see mad riding

Thanks, little bit of re assurance.
There were 5 I noted down as having been rubbed on the backs recently so don't expect them to come on to this jab, plan to re jab in 10 days. 1 inparticularly that was definitely bulling Thursday I didn't jab will just do it when I re jab any others.

We have vet out at various times and have discussed this with them.
Synchronization so I don't have them in too long hopefully, fetching in twice daily would be painful with our paddock grazing as it's field to field, no tracks and cows with calves don't move particularly well

Spring calving sucklers are a pita to ai, I tried it once just serving to natural heats and never again without doing a sync program of some sorts, longest 6 weeks of my life

Yes with the idea anything not seen bulling will be re jabbed
Didn't want all the expenses of prid etc
Still have 2 bulls to sweep up
This year is the trial

If you get more than 15 served by Friday you'll be doing well. Prostaglandins (Estrumate, cyclix, prellim) are cheap but unreliable so don't get your hopes up about achieving high numbers.

Prid synch/Cidr synch can work very well in your case - it guarantees getting a straw of semen in every cow and can really tighten up a block.

Given you have 2 bulls to sweep up the cost of one of those would have covered the synch cost plus enough left over for fish chips.

A large proportion of them won't come in season to the jag as they need to be at the right stage of their cycle, that is with a corpus luteum present. Definitely don't serve blind as suggested. A 2nd estrumate in 14 days time should technically bring the remainder in season but it's questionable practice on the part of your vet, giving out the estrumate without examination.

So what’s the point then I agree the vet needs binned off but he is where he is serve them then move on forget tip toeing your for a fortnight. Get a better vet.

I don't understand why you think it's bad practice from the vets? I had discussed it beforehand whilst they were out doing other work so they have seen the cows just not individual examination
We jab any cows not seen bulling where I work?

The second jab, I thought you were best 10/11 days after the 1st? Not 14?
