i used to be familiar with westfalias dairyplan and liked a lot of the reports and spreadsheets it would generate
will alpro windows give anything similar as we have black box at the moment and are thinking of upgrading

i want to be able to input calving dates services and drug records much easier and then get reports back from the information regarding drying off and withdrawl periods with reports i can print off to satisfy farm assurance
a list of average yields on a rolling daily basis that can be listed from highest to lowest and vice versa
a list of all cows giving more or less than a certain amount including dim dyp and calving date
the list is endless

You have Ailments and Treatments.
Treatments are assigned to Ailments

In Treatments you have:
Days to treat
Dump milk days
Meat withhold days

The reports are nice. You "build" them yourself.

they look like quite good reports SA

we have what people call the black box which does a lot of functions including feed to yield and service and medicine dates but it is not easy to access the info quickly and the screen to read off is small with out a printer it is difficult to get reports

I got a black box. It connect to the pc via a network cable. What you do in Alpro Windows is uploaded to the box. Alpro Windows gets the data from the black box i.e. time in, feed used, milk flow......

From what I saw at install, only Alpro Sync needs a license. That is the app that syncs the data between the black box and Alpro Windows.

have a chat to your local Delaval guy. I can do some more screen shots if you want.

We had the individual feeders. Just added the multi readers and Alpro. The whole system is modular and you can add onto it.

Next year we add the sort gates, and the year after the milk meters.

Hopefully the boss will spring for conductivity testers at some stage.

Hello jimmer just thought I would add to thread and let you know I've just upgraded my parlour software to alpro windows to run auto Id and activity meters.

ooh so you have had the fun job of collaring all your cows

will be interesting to see how you get on with the activity

i hated alpro windows at first as i was so used to westfalias dairy plan but now i have got used to it i am getting on quite well, now we have dairy comp as well and that is a whole new ball game altogether
