Judge for yourself....
Rock on you Old Gits:singing::singing:(y)(y)

Great diversification project for when the BPS dries up ;)

A word of warning though, if @Cab-over Pete offers to become your manager/agent/Mr 10% or whatever it is you music types have, just tread carefully - he's beginning to spread himself a bit thin, what with all the projects he's got going with @Kevtherev plus the bit of fert he chucks about now and again :whistle:

Are you the original line-up?

I’ve a feeling I may have seen a gig you played near Leckford once.

Or did some of the band leave due to musical differences?

ie, you lot were all quite good and the leavers were shyte.

Funnily enough, the opposite applies: we lost four brilliant youngsters from our original eight, all of which went on to far greater things/bands. Our drummer went off to the Leeds School of Musical Something, and is now permanent employed as a session drummer. Two guitarists are now in other bands (Different Place and Shaken Taylor) and continue to astonish with their talent. And our young vocalist went off to New York to some sort of fame school, and sings and dances her way through every day. We replaced the drummer with some old bloke, and the five of us now grump our way through every rehearsal and performance. It sounds like an episode of Casualty, what with the piles and the bad backs and the memory loss and the piles....

We did play a wedding in Leckford, in the tents down by the river in 2015.

If you would put on Galloway specific classes I'll message a few folks local to you ; mainly Belted Galloways but also potentially Black Galloways. Getting commitment for new shows with just any other native breed or worse any other beef breed usually means folks won't bother (too many judges just looking for big)

A fantastic show. Brilliant to be back. Probably a record attendance judging by the car park?
A wonderful display of livestock and machinery.
Big thank you to @Charlie Flindt for commentating on the modern machinery display.

Are there any classes for Longwool sheep? It would be good to head over that way with Mrs Fred's Greyfaced Dartmoors since we are getting some new Soc. members in the South East and they have a long way to travel at the moment. Our local show at Ellingham has a pretty good turn out for GFDs and we used to go to the Downland Museum rare breeds show but I think they have stopped that one now.

Yes there is a Longwool class- would be great to have you along next year.

Blimey, that was hard work; trying to see what was in the queue of shiny machines through the haze and smog left by the vintage boys, and then trying to read the garbled notes hastily compiled by the dealers. And not knowing if anyone could hear me, or what they thought....At least when doing an after-dinner speech, you get feedback almost at once! Everyone is rating the Show as one of the best ever, and lots of talk about the Grenadier. I wonder which farmer/motoring journo persuaded them to come along?

At our local Kenilworth Show my job is to get a bunch of machines together for the modern machinery parade. Depending on the weather I can get 15-25 machines turn up from tractors and flat rolls to foragers and combines.

Local retired farmer Richard Fonge does a great commentary on each machine, nothing too in depth or boring figures about hp, more about which machine does what and how the jobs follow each other. Mower/rake/chopper/trailer, that sort of thing.

By far the best bit from the visitors point of view is when we all shut down our engines and kids with parents jump into the ring to have a close up look and ask questions. They love it and it gets really busy.
