Any idea what seed this is ?

We ordered some intermediate Sorghum for game cover.
the labels say sorghum Sudanese.
But it’s like no sorghum I’ve seen before.
Has anyone got any ideas ?
I'm waiting on a call from the suppliers.

It looks okay, you can get 'Dark' seed as well as the lighter stuff.

Thanks, upon googling Sudan grass it does look like the seed.
But, is it any use as game cover ? My rep has just told me they’d run out of ‘normal’ sorghum.

I don't really know, I didn't know anyone had it in the UK normally it's used as a forage crop for silage.

I spoke to @Great In Grass earlier. It seems as though it’s normally grown as forage. Not a game cover.
Apparently they’d sold out of ‘normal’ sorghum. So sent this. ??
I might try a strip or two as it could be useful in a cover crop mix. (Need a bit more research).

sudan grass, is meant to give huge yields of forage, and if that is correct, needs watching ! Could be useful.

I’ve been watching some more videos of it. Looks good as part of a cover crop.

My seed rep seems to think it’s the same as the stuff we’ve grown before.
I’m just wondering how many people have grown it as game cover because I don’t fancy it’s chances too much in that role.

Nice bit of moisture under the top.
