Hey how's everyone doing? I had a cheeky experiment direct drilling winter wheat in late January, 2 months later nothing had chitted and my agronomists told me there's no need to glyphosate and just to drill spring oats.
Annnyway looks like some cheeky wheat plants didn't get the message.
Basically I've got 20 acres of winter wheat/spring oats mixed its 60-70% oats to 30-40% winter wheat and honestly it looks great, it's all in ear and is still nice and green. I'll post some photos tomorrow.
I can combine it and either sell it with admixture or get it cleaned but I cut a lot of grass and Lucerne forage so I'm quite aware of how short everyone's going to be this year so I thought I'd have a ask about see if anyone's interested in buying it for wholecrop.
I'm in Northamptonshire, you're more than welcome to come have a look around.
You can bale it yourself but I can also cut bale and wrap it. I have a welgar rp520 so I can make nice tight heavy bales if you want to get them transported. And an in yard wrapper so no risk of crow or stubble damage.
Also there is a professional haulage guy in my village who gives me good quotes for haulage nationwide.
The only thing is I'll need to know soonish because it will start to brown off soon.
It's all farm assured, not sure if that mattered for wholecrop but whatever
If nobody's interested it's no worries but at least I've asked
Any question just reply on here
Cheers Will
