As you probably know some blanking plates need a small hole in them ..........
But probably not LR

I've only ever fitted two one on a 1998 disco 300tdi and this one a 1970 2s ( 200tdi ) with a 300tdi turbo both kits were the same with no hole in the plate

Got bored yesterday so I decided on digging the heater out, give it a clean out but it was quite clean inside then I gave it a re-paint, sprayed it in mat black for now as that is all I had but will probably re-do it in gloss black before I fit it

Yeah I've always been into them ever since I was a kid, my dad had a couple over the years and I cut my teeth on them, had a spell of classic cars and other models of landy's but after a couple of years I kept coming back to them

So do you rebuild and sell them on then? Which models do you prefer best?

Yes but run them for a couple of year after i had restored them.

2a without a dowt
1. I prefer the 2a gearbox as the release bearing is oil fed.
2. The dash is much better.
3. Much prefer the headlights in the middle but mines a later 2a with the headlights on the wings

Hi, is yours a working one? Got a '66 2a that I put a galv chassis on about 5 years ago and can't seem to get rid of the vehicle.... unfortunately. Does everything I want and need it to. Other than the 17 to the gallon, lack of power and the joint pain it's not too bad.

It will be strickly for pleasure sea fishing trips and stuff, 200tdi under the bonnet 130 bhp and 40 mpg great for long hill climbs and not as much fuel used

Im toying with the idea of putting a 200 Tdi in my 80” series 1 , it’s got a 2.25 in it at the mo so not original . Should I or not ???????

Will be a tight fit in a 80" 88" would be better, it is nearly 70 years old now, will it take the strain? Series 2 box?

I did think of fitting it without the turbo or inter cooler , have seen this done on a few series 2/3 and works well .

I've me eye on a 2.5 nasty aspirated 89 110 which if I get it will put a 300tdi engine in ans a disco transferbox, and convert the Sailsbury to disc brakes..................

Wouldn't consider the shoe brakes good enough for the Tdi engine..................

Wouldn't consider the shoe brakes good enough for the Tdi engine..................

I would swap the whole axel for one of a disco . They are cheap as chips and parts are readily available.
