In small bales?
It is particularly difficult to make hay in a puddle I have found. The bit I've already baled is actually drying up quite nicely today, but the unmown long grass has sloppy water in the bottom which is going to take ages to dry.
Well there is hay and there is hayI took a trip up north yesterday, about 20 miles south of John O'Groats, which as you'll know is the most northerly tip of the Scottish mainland. Those guys could teach you how to make hay. A beautiful sunny day, then the Haar rolls in off the North Sea and the heavy mist hangs around for days, condensing on any steel work so it drips. Many seem to cut a few acres, then try to make that. Plenty of hay lying out and some still cutting. But they are getting there. I can't help thinking some of you southerners must be missing something if you can't make hay down there! Yeah, I know!
We have had forecasts like that several times in the last 5 or 6 weeks though - all proved to be fictitious.Late next week looks a start to a better spell of weather.
Yeah it's always 'next week...'
and they have just said that next week will be pants tooNo that many 'next weeks' left now though
BBC tv just said it will be a very unsettled week ffs. Where has the forecast high pressure gone!?and they have just said that next week will be pants too
That's how I understood it to be but the bbc this morning gave a very pessimistic forecast
