I picked some bramleys this afternoon fearing they might be blown off. It was much windier then than now.

Light to medium rain at present

Wind starting to get up now, dropped right off a couple of hours ago then started to rain steady. Must of been the eye passing over now for the winds to come me thinks.

We have two tenants on the farm who will be rubbing their hands, a woodcutter and a garden fence erector!
It's blowing well over the northdowns in Kent, I can't compare it with 87 as I slepped though the whole lot.

Don't Panic Capt'n Mainwaring.
Torches charged, mobiles charged, chainsaw sharpened and fuelled, vehicles moved away from house [flying roof tiles] water heating on extra late duty, bacon out of freezer, required ammount of roofing sheets 'eased'. Have I missed anything? ;)

Stand easy Corp'l Jones, I think we got away with it.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
