Atl milking equipment

I’ve got a seg gate of theres you can buy, has sat for 10 years doing nothing mind....I’m sure you can guess why it’s sat doing nothing. There stuff is cheaper for a reason, it will let you down big style at some point and when it does they won’t want to know.

The gea meters and pulsators need minimal maintenance,I’ve put 10m+ litres through mine without touching them,of course your dealer will tell you they need doing annually.

Milk meters/acrs per unit.....atl 525 gea 940. Would you still recommend the gea

Fitted price?

Good price for gea if so.

I like the fact atl have lots of downloads and info online, means you can problem solve yourself.

I’ve asked before and most atl users seemed happy with them.

Depends if one lasts 10 years and one last 20years plus you need to take servicing into account
I have Delaval meters here,made by SCR,not spent a penny in maintenance on them,they don't need any,in 15 years.
We also have ATL feeders, they're alright, but there can be quite a bit of variation in output,in hindsight I would have put in Delaval.

Are the newer ones different?
All 50 have been replaced under warranty on a local rotary.

Ditto. Put ours in 2001 - replaced 2 meters and no pulsators. Been quite a cheap parlour in retrospect.

All that's different on the newest is that they have blood and conductivity measurement. I'd hazard a guess that the rotary's meters were enthusiastically pressure washed. I lost one like this but replaced with a second hand one.

£940 a point for GEA is cheaper than Fullwood LM1's, been quoted £1050 to upgrade my Fullflow 2's to LM1
I'm waiting on a full wood price.not sure on model number but full woods price includes auto drop. Keypad and milk sampling.they seem to be keener as Fulwood have dropped price 1000 pounds on the quoted price. Fullwood not the supplier

Does anyone rate them. They seem to be quite a bit cheaper than others. I'm considering them for a refit of old acrs and pulsation. Does money buy quality or simply a name. Any opinions
I've heard it rusts away quite quick.
We have stainless steel feeders here that are 10 years and still as good as the day they were installed.

Fullwood not the most reliable electronics. Have replaced several keypads on 2006 meters, although the new ones look more robust, and every year I replace at least two, probably more, fullstart switches (what I assume you mean by auto drop, ie lift the cups to start) and they're not cheap
