We straw rake after the Autocast and this makes it more reliable especially if there is an inch of 'fry' to mix it into.
As said above its the best situation for Kerb

Tip I was given was to roll it within 24 hrs of auto cast what ever the weather. Only problem I had was calibration of the seeder.

With autocast crops that go in early after winter barley does cabbage root fly not become a big problem????

I've got some lovely big volunteer plants on the field of WB we cut after our rape. The seed has come out of or fell of the combine and they do look spectacular until you pull them up and see that the roots are riddled with maggots.

Spread it with a boom spreader anytime in the first 3 weeks of August just before rain is forecast and double roll it Any later your in the lap of gods and if it isn’t going to rain don’t bother
