Autumn calvers to sell

I have 20 sept/oct calvers here. I run a spring grass based system but was going to calve these down and milk them thru the winter. They are all, bar 3, dry and following the cows cleaning out paddocks. They are in great order. Last year we did 500kilos of solids in a young herd spring grass based system. These cows have milk.
Now starting to question my wisdom!! I have a lot of heifers coming they next year, and am in danger of being overstocked.
They are predominately Flechvieh cross 2nd and 3rd calvers. All correct and right in every way. Carrying to an Aubrac.
Would there be any interest in them in the UK? What are these types making?

Autumn calvers are a very good trade
To be honest just about everything is

They ought to be worth reasonable money. If it was me I would sell them and keep your spring calving system simple.
Go on then! How much is reasonable money?
Just pondering selling last of my fresh calved Holstein’s and swapping them in for some more crosses. If nice strong incalf imported heifer is £1500 delivered where would you put 2/3rd Calvers?
I’d say £1150/1200 but I suspect someone will pay £1400/1500 if they are nice.

Way more for Holsteins. People can’t seem to get enough of them locally. They’re all culling them so quickly because they’re sh!t they have to pay high prices to keep the flow of them coming in to replace them.

apparently, there is a lot of younger farmers, looking at their 2/300 farms, and realising there is b-all living on them, arable/beef/sheep wise, and are looking to put a low cost dairy in, plenty of people do make a living out of farms that size, but probably depends on how many families, have to live off it. But the cow trade is red hot, and we have been offered scary money, but it is down to what do you do afterwards, those farmers looking, are only looking, because they cannot see a living, on their farms, other than dairying. Also been told, there is a insatiable demand for cows, over the severn bridge !
