@puntabrava there may be some truth in that. I've been over the side of a trawler twice, shipwrecked once and survived the storm of 87 on a tall sailing ship. I guess it will be the wife that does me in then.

Just as an aside, are you the member who posted an old video a while back of life on a tall sailing ship? A chap giving a commentary on old films made on board. It was fantastic and I thought I had saved it somewhere but obviously didn’t. I would love to see that again if it was from you.

@Cab-over Pete , that wasn't me and I think I missed that post. The T.S.S I worked on was a replica Liverpool pilot schooner built by a charity offering disadvantaged young people a crack at outdoor pursuits with a wee bit of surreptitious team building and social skill development snuck in. I bosun'd her for a wee while. She was originally called Spirit Of Merseyside (affectionately known as The Merits of Spermicide) but has since been re-named, an unlucky practise I thoroughly disapprove of.
