Don't know, but can't see beans getting smashed. Is 720rpm too high? Does it smash the beans? Anyone tried it?
Is that PTO or the discs? Shouldn’t need an extra high RPM. They are big and heavy and go for miles. We put them on with our old ZAM at 540 PTO. No problems but remember to keep the ploughing a good distance away or they’ll land on top of it. I tend to do the outside run a but closer to the edge than 12 m otherwise they’d be too thin round the outside. You’ll feed some pheasants and mice but they aren’t dressed and cheap off the heap normally. Is 720rpm too high? Does it smash the beans? Anyone tried it?
Hi, have you had a go at spreading some beans with your zav? Looks like I will be attempting the same with ours. I wonder if the disc speed will need to be a fair bit slower anyway as the beans will rocket out of the spreader at 720.Is 720rpm too high? Does it smash the beans? Anyone tried it?
That's good thenhave done some, yes. mixed with TSP in the hopper and spread. no cracking or shattering of the beans at all. quite pleased.

that would spoil the simplicity and just add twice the cost its only the future travelling over will be smoother if its worked down after the plough, simpler tool than power harrow and only arond the headland wouls be my advice as a compromiseWe are going to spin some on then plough
Do you powerharrow when done
Personally I would do if it's dry enough. We are going to spin some on then plough
