Just wondering what sort of contracts and prices people are on for B & B pigs weaners and fattener's ? anyone getting any joy negotiating higher rates atm. ?

Systems vary (ie what you're required to do for your money)
We're finishing on straw, all in all out pretty much, have been for 30+ yrs now, paid per pig as it leaves. Not paid for deaths but don't pay disposal. Wash out periodically (not every batch by a long way)

Never done it, take it they provide everything, but you're providing your own straw so you'd need to be an arable place to make it worthwhile. Not a lot of money that anyway.
Yes need a supply of straw plenty willing to do muck for straw in many areas. Guess the money all depends on what you consider a lot. Couple of redundant cattle sheds 100 x 50 house 1000 weaners 500 finishers 50k+ a year for couple hours work a day average. would imagine finances very questionable if had to put up new build today though
