Need some new tyres on a JD 6215, 75% of its time is pulling a trailer, bowser. Occasionally gets put on the rolls or cultipress. Ideally would be able to let the tyres down to 1 bar for rolling, but also need to be comfortable towing a grain trailer at 50 kph. Any recommendations?

Michelin Axiobib tyres, you could leave them at 1bar all round for all jobs.

Our new 215r came on bridgestone VF’s really like them so far been on trailer work, subsoiling and rolling. fronts are at 12psi rears at 14psi (would have them softer but 18m rollers are heavy on back of tractor when folded)! Much better tyre than the Michelin machxbib that’s on on our 195r.

We had some sidewall cracking on a lot of our Michelins. I can't 100% rule out a mistake on our part, but I thought we were pretty careful. Michelin were good and replaced them at cost price. Nevertheless, given how much more they are than the likes of BKT I expected better. We have since bought BKT (do VF and much cheaper), and Bridgestone (expensive, but v good reputation).

For the jobs you're doing with it, I'd go for BKT. If it was a mainline cultivation or drilling tractor, I'd maybe think of Bridgestone.

Also, you should be able to go way below 1 bar for rolling on all the VF tyres.
