Best country to be a farmer ?

Seeing as we've some slack time , let's hypothisise , all considered my choice would be the USA , this week anyway .

The UK imo is the by far the best , BUT , only when the weather is decent which at the moment is shite and largely has been for 20 years

Where would you go , and why ?

Was in Canada 20 years ago, there was an article on the news about the most respected / valued professions.

Remember thinking then it would never be like that in the UK, even more so now.

Fantastic country, very polite people, would move there tomorrow but family farm situation dictates otherwise

Russia? Aiming for global domination in all areas including agriculture. Vast areas with rich black soils. Great people out in the countryside. Fewer regulations and less hassle from idiots I'd imagine.
I think they are sufficiently capitalist nowadays not to need worry about certain historical issues involving the peasants and their land

Highly corrupt though. Need big money AND connections.
