It is always a touch disconcerting when you get one ringing endorsement for a firm, and then posts from a couple of contributors not noted for being idiots, saying "Didn't respond/couldn't be bothered", etc.
All I can say is that we have been somewhat inundated over last 12-18 mths, over the same period Insurer response times and what they will and wont quote on has got worse, so at certain times have had to make choices on what we are able to quote on,in that situation we will tend to have to favour doing quotes on business within a 75 mile radius of our offices. We are doing a lot of work to try and improve this but suffice to say Insurer service is not currently improving.

In the nicest possible way, the posters saying they got no response, etc, would probably have respected that, had they been told?

I have used F&G this time as Caleb Roberts were not able to quote in the window... 🤷‍♂️ www.farmcover.co.uk

Rep was pleasant and helpful and backroom team seem good.

Price was excellent compared to NFUM, for what appears to be a better series of policies.
Been F&G for 7/8 years and are very happy, left Nfu 25 years ago. They asked to quote five years ago and we're much more competitive than previous years but it was obviously a spratt to catch a mackerel.
