If it's less than 4 years old Krone are a good shout. After that forget it, the parts backup is not good.

Zedelgem made NHs aren't brilliant as they get older either.

My vote would be for MF, parts are very common and reasonably priced.

We have had a nh bb9070 that was a good baler but not great we now have a Krone 1270 and the difference in performance is night and day I do worry about the cam track with packer on the Krone in older age but we don’t do huge numbers of bales around 8000 9ft long a year, and we have a good dealer so are very happy atm. Unfortunately said dealer has been forced to give up the Krone franchise but are going to carry spares and still look after us

They are both ten years old the Massey is a 2160 with twin axles and 75,000 bales on the clock, don’t know much about the NH other than it has done less bales, also been offered a Case I take it’s the same as a NH in a different colour.

Definitley MF then, wouldn’t touch a NH that age.

The Massey was the one I liked best but unfortunately as of Friday we are in lockdown and all travel outside my area will be against the law, so my search for a baler will have to be put on hold for the time being. Thanks for all your help today.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
