Yes but, despite my being no fan of this cause or those on the 'demo', the vast majority have - social distancing aside - done nothing wrong, it's just a nauseating minority.

I'm on the right politically, in most things, but I found myself having common cause when chatting with a Labour friend earlier. He is absolutely revolted by what happened, this bunch of ars*holes are about as welcome and helpful to him and his ideals as the BNP are to me and mine. But it seems this type always turn up, be it a gathering of the right or of the left...

We should never have sold the water canons and we are in for a summer and autumn of protests/violence with a hardcore rent a mob using any excuse to cause disruption. Racism/lack of jobs/Brexit/anti government/ Hs2 etc etc. I would water canon and rubber bullet the bloody lot of them as soon as it stops being a peacefull protest. Who are the financial backers behind the hardcore protesters? unions? labour?

They are now losing public sympathy and undermining a just cause. This will ultimately cause a backlash and they will be back before square one.
