Any benifits on backward osr ?
All of above affecting it + wet feet !No consistent yield responses I think, but all my osr is getting a sniff of boron when I next go through with a fungicide/pgr because tissue tests here consistently show a deficiency.
N will buck up a backward osr crop assuming it's not being eaten from the inside by CSFB larvae or pigeons on the outside. Add sunshine, warmth and occasional moisture for best results.
It would have to be almost sand to be of benefit - any soil with a clay content of more than say 20% should have enough Boron available.Very much depending on soil type, I use it on some limestone where Boron was historically applied routinely to sprouts.
The physical symptoms and the lab result suggested otherwise. It would have to be almost sand to be of benefit - any soil with a clay content of more than say 20% should have enough Boron available.
Fair enough - my clay soils should have just about enough of every sort of nutrient under the sun, but I will probably try having the grain tested after harvest to be sure, as suggested by the stalwarts on this website. The physical symptoms and the lab result suggested otherwise.
