Cab suspension

Hey all,
I'm looking for info on retro fitting cab suspension on a John Deere 6910, I've see posts where lads had done it but I didn't save them!
I think it had been done using Massey or new Holland suspension kits
Any info and photos would be appreciated
Cheers

Ben Burgess used to do a retro fit kit, it’s no longer available as far as I know. I’ve never heard of it being done any other way, and was never an option from the factory.

It may be more hassle than it’s worth, you will most likely have to extend a lot of cable Controls and leavers and wiring harness, try and get a look of a factory spec one and see what’s involved, or just get a good air seat and some low ground pressure tyres

Don’t think you have to extend or change any cables or harness on the 68/6900 or 10’s, and it’s not rocket science to build the mounts or fit the springs and dampers. But and this is the thing its getting the right spring pressures and damper rates thats the rocket science part, Ben burgess must of done there homework when they did them, as for looking at a factory one it can’t be done as no 00/10 series was available with cab suspension.
The earliest Deere I recall with it fitted was a 20 series and it was I believe hydraulic cab suspension so a different system.

Would the suspension system on a M series fit across?
As said previously I'd try a grammar Maximo seat it's a way easier option to fit and way cheaper as would altering tyre pressures?
Does the M series have Hyd cab suspension same as a 20 and 30 series has, if they have then no you can’t fit it on a 00/10 series.
The company that made the kits Ben Burgess fitted was Muller !.

Had a demo 6155m a few years back and fairly sure that wasn't HCS but rather mechanical struts.

HCS would need another ECU fitting and those cabs also ride higher.

Tricky but not impossible. It’s obviously been done before so cable’s and linkages should be ok. You will need a panhard rod and make sure the front mounts can cope with the extra movement. As for the springs I would look at air bags and shocks or air cabin shocks from an HGV. There are lots of air management compressors on the market to control them, not only will his save you from having to work out spring ratings but will also provide a smoother ride. You will also need progressive bump stops and means to hold the cab to the chassis. New Holland use straps and pins to do this. I think the cab tilts on these tractors? But there must already be a way to get round this.
