I am looking at buying a case 4230 and was wondering what thing on the tractor I should check. Thanks

Had one years back had issues with starting didn’t like the mixer wagon needed a clutch every two years was traded in when it needed it’s 3rd they are a light design fine for light duties but must be at least 25 years old now

Have a good look at the cab structure, particularly if an XL model. Most are now in very poor condition and to fix would be more problematic /expensive than some mechanical faults. The tractors were based on a late 60s design and tend to be a bit lightweight, although I think the lift arms may have been beefed up on the 42 series.
