Hi looking at a 1995 case Cx 62 excavator. Just seeing if anyone has used or owned one on here. I can find very little out about them online.

From what I have found they seem to be very similar machines to the kubota kh191? Any information about them is appricated.

KH191 badged in Case colours just like all the other models at the time from 1.3t upwards, the 191 was basically a sound machine but it suffered from memory with the seals leaking in the slew ring distributor and was slow tracking, not sure if there was only 1 speed tracking, and with centre front kingpost mounting it was front end heavy, as opposed to machines of the day like the Hitatchi EX60 where the boom ran up the side of the cab and hinged further back hence more balanced. There was a good choice of wide steel tracks for soft ground and the 6 cylinder Kubota Engine ran very sweet.
Hydraulically at that time it was slow on hydraulics like the KH151 especially when compared to Komatsu Mini Diggers which were very fast, so if it is cheap enough and in good working order it will depend on your application and how much use you are going to give it, possibly slew ring not strong enough so there is a few areas to check.

It's got a hedge cutter flail attachment that comes with it that would be good down our marshland and it would just for generally using around the farm putting the odd chalk pad or barn floor in or a bit of ditching. Where would be the best place for spares? I'm guessing any kubota dealer could get parts?

Used to have a 191 here, cracking digger, slow compared to the newer diggers but she could dig, ours never rely gave any real problems either, it was a well balanced digger with the 6 cylinder engine but it was hard on fuel.

All your wearing parts from after market suppliers like Evans & Reid and others but not sure how long Kubota supply parts for after ceasing production but choose a long established Construction Kubota dealer who may have some history with the model like BTE Plant Sales Markfield Leics direction
