A young lady was seriously injured fairly locally back in the Summer when she drove down a steep gravel drive to the farmyard and lost control. The tractor overturned and she had life changing injuries requiring a series of skin grafts and lord knows what else. She was inexperienced with a tractor and probably a bit overconfident.

Be careful out there. This kind of shït happens. It could happen at your place tomorrow unless you put Safety First.

Someone posted a photo of a DB on FB that had gone down a hill, lost traction and rolled over. The operator was seriously injured.
The poster had commented that as the tractor had a full set of weights driving down a grass slope quickly, the driver skidded on the grass and lost control.
Interestingly most of them that comment said the DB was known not to have much engine braking and the tractor had ran away. But traveling on grass to fast down a hill with a small front heavy tractor had nothing to to with it.
It would seem that we will keep having accidents for ti e to come judging by some people opinions.

I remember seeing this after Sunday dinner as a child, im sure I'm correct in saying that they followed an agricultural show, it was replaced by countryphile, i think it was it called farming today? Anyhow these films were scary viewing for us kids, I can still visualise some clothing flinging round on a Pto shaft in one of them.

We were told to watch and learn, dad took safety very seriously as he lost his uncle in an overturn up on some unfamiliar ground in the Welsh hills, sadly his very young boy was with him and he died too.

Its too late when your gone.

540 rpm on the PTO is 9 times a second you would be smashed into anything the PTO can flail you against. Remember that and give it respect 😢😢😢

aye remember getting told in a lecture about a guy who got caught up in a pto shaft. it tore off his legs and genitalia . he dragged himself halfways across the yard before he died.

Neighbour went round a poorly guarded shaft. Ripped all bar his underwear off him.
He went between the shaft and draw bar on slurry tanker. IIRC.

Survived but paying price now with aches and pains.
