Not seen this subject mentioned before about reading electronic cattle tags. I bought some tags from Shearwell for this years calves but when I try to read them with a stick reader all I get is a long number not the UK number. Reading with the handheld is the same but tells me to link the long number to calf’s ear tag number. Well that’s no good, just want the tag number. Works ok with sheep tags. Anyone else got this?
