Good you got all your answers then, end of subject.StillFarming - did you miss where I did speak with the sprayer and he was spraying a fungicide called Soleil? So not guessing - just asking for a bit of help from people who know about this stuff.
You shouldn't have to moderate your use of a public footpath, I'm sure the sprayer driver has learned also, whether its harmful or not, nobody wants pesticide applying in close proximity to them. You are all settling my worries - can't thank you enough really. I expected to have my backside handed to me for even being on the footpath with a great sprayer thundering towards me - there will not be a next time I can assure you.
My main fears were for the dogs as they are smaller and lower down so could potentially ingest more. Seeing the vet later in any case just for a chat and a check up.

I was just looking for advice from people who understand crop sprays better than I do Cowabunga. It was the ingestion of the stuff that I was concerned about and the proximity.
the operator should signpost footpaths when spraying really. Although harmless your exposure should be your choice
I must be out of date, I hadn't got the legal bulletin saying such advice.the operator should signpost footpaths when spraying really. Although harmless your exposure should be your choice
Exactly, would you carry on spraying right next to somebody? If you were out for a walk with your young children and a sprayer came round the corner and gave you a mouthful would you be happy?
Plus fast set up as a new member if your just been sprayed?Sorry but when the question about “using up” chlorothalonil was asked it no longer appeared to me that this was a genuine thread started by a member of the public but more likely a journalistic fishing trip with an agenda.
I don’t believe any member of the public who’d been upset by a close encounter with a sprayer would suddenly have detailed knowledge of or any interest in chlorothalonil withdrawal and use up timetable.
I can easily see how a bit of “Googling” on such a subject would easily lead to TFF and then on to CTL withdrawal without any difficulty.Sorry but when the question about “using up” chlorothalonil was asked it no longer appeared to me that this was a genuine thread started by a member of the public but more likely a journalistic fishing trip with an agenda.

I don't really want to make a fuss - just wanted to know if anyone here knew the product/ingredients and if all will be well. One thing is for sure - if I see one of those things heading towards me again I will leave pronto.
might have been on the other side of a hedge on a public path or road.'The sprayer went right past me at close quarters'
To be honest he hasn’t really made as much of a fuss as some long standing members.....Course you don't ....
If you can't see the intent behind his posts I'd suggest you're naiveTo be honest he hasn’t really made as much of a fuss as some long standing members.....
