Do you go to buy or for the day out? Sadly costs have risen for us all so it can’t be as big as the old days
Both, I enjoy the networking and catching up with old friends, but equally look for new innovations/ideas I can develop at home. Leaving today at 1.30 I felt particularly underwhelmed and saddened that I felt that I didn't achieve any of these.

As I said in my previous post, I feel reluctant to post this as Cereals has always been the highlight of my year

Thank you @Two Tone. We are so appreciative of everyone that came out today in less than ideal conditions. It has definitely been an adventure for all involved. Hester is the hero - She and her team have worked tirelessly to make it work. We also are so grateful to our patient exhibitors and so pleased to see that all of the visitors did not mind the "cooler conditions". It has taken a village! #plushesterrocks

I agree. I enjoyed it and i think it was better than the year before last when I went and given the conditions today it was very well managed and run. But several of the exhibitors seemed a bit despondent and some just sat on there stands and gave the impression they couldn't be bothered.

I've always come away from the show invigorated and always get some good ideas to work from but this year I didn't get the buzz and come home lacking inspiration. I'm already looking forward to next year thought.

  1. Sitting in Newark.... it’s been heavy rain for an hour... tomorrow could be rather challenging

The Sencrop weather station on our stand - this is all since we left - it was reading zero at 5pm

Enjoyed the afternoon. Tempted by some Bullock Tillage discs with a seeder on for cover crop establishment.

Looked at the Sencrop rain gauge, it’s basically a Davis system with different branding? Davis were more expensive but with SIM card access and solar panels on which is perhaps a bit more robust.

This has been one of the hardest days of my work life but Cereals is on - the walkways and exhibits look great but def bring the tall wellies! Come see us tomorrow. Huge thanks to the exhibitors that have worked with us this week in horrendous conditions. You have been amazing - thank you!

Top job today in the face of difficult conditions ! Well done, I would not have wanted your job today !!

I think the big difference is the way the data is transmitted (no sim) and the user interface which is very slick. Battery life is 3 yrs so no real need for solar

LATEST UPDATE: The rain has come in heavier and faster than forecasted. This weather has impacted an already saturated event site. Based on current conditions, we will visit the site in the early AM to assess the situation and inform the community. Please check email, TFF and Twitter before departing to the Cereals site.

The show is open today. 4WD highly recommended. Expect delays entering and departing the event. Please work with the staff. Thank you.
