We’ve a new to us 2010 418 and can’t get it to spray the right volume. Have it set at 160l/ha on the TeeJet rate controller but only once has it put out the right volume. Has anyone any ideas what could be causing this

Speed is reading the same on the rate controller as gps but the pressure is going up and down a lot was. Was driving at 10km and pressure was jumping from 1.7 bar to 2.5 bar

If the pressure isn't constant, have a look at the wiring to the pressure regulator. We've a new to us 07 418 and a bad connection to the regulator was causing the pressure to be all over the place.

The regulator on ours is behind the big handled selector valves, the only electrical valve behind there. The connector was fastened to the yellow crossmember heading towards the chassis above the valve.

Both pins should have 12v on them with the engine running & controller on, and with the controller in manual selecting increase or decrease pressure will earth one of the pins so the regulator motor works.

High quality drawing here of the valve and the connector that was causing us problems. Clean the connector & all working again.
