Hi,

Other than a Claas dealer, does anyone know of a company or person knowledgeable on Claas tractors?

We have a 2012 Axion 810 hexashift / Dyna6 with the Deere engine that’s started misbehaving.

Thanks

Depends on the problem. The DPS engines are not hard to diagnose.

Now Then..
Misbehaving in what way??
A good description with the engine hours and perhaps some pictures builds a better question..
A better question should bring a better answer..

The first issue is the when the tractors warm and the engine started. Every now and again it will bog down and stall itself. Not an engine issue, but more of transmission, hydraulic pump dead head issue. It’s immediately upon startup before the shuttle is moved from neutral. It may happen 8 to 10 times in a row. Then on the 11th time run fine. Almost as if a brake is being held on or the hydraulic pump is dead heading. The engine revs do dip for a second on a good start, but then steady and idle as normal. Maybe pressuring the transmission lube system?

The second issue, when changing from C to
D range there is a grind from the transmission. Possibly synchro? When changing the shuttle in D range the transmission simply won’t engage, and grinds. We have to start in C.

This has only happened since the transmission was recalibrated a few months back.

Sorry chaps, didn’t have time to go into to much detail and thought it easier to discuss over the phone if anyone could recommend someone.

Haven’t got time to split the transmission myself and to be honest I’d rather it go in and come back sorted.

Any thoughts would be appreciated though.
Thanks

Sounds like both issues are connected, my 820s c range had a bearing go that then buggered the sincro, corfields fixed it about 8k I think but had a loan tractor to keep me going whilst it was away.

C/D syncro has failed. Change Start up gear from c to b will stop it stalling at start up. As they get older clutch packs are slower to kick in act as a brake on start up stalls enigne on c but better in b

If you're near Yorkshire there's Jacksons Motor Engineers at Ripon. They used to be Renault dealers and have carried on as a Claas tractor specialist. They turn over a few second hand ones too
Yeah I was thinking Jackson’s but a bit out of their area I suppose in Cheshire
