Your getting me thinking,The budget option
The compactors are a bloody good tool,I can see how them haybob things are ment to spread it,but personally I’d rather a decent buckrake on a 435Iirc @Speedstar has 1 of them roller compactors mabe even a self built 1
I don’t think I know anyone that actually tips on a clamp here like you do,the geography of the farms are so different plus some places you would get contamination from mud etc off the wheels.Your buckrakes are our silage spreaders. Pretty much every farmer that does his own silage has one and an oldie can be picked up for peanuts.
I see in video's from your side of the pond that alot of times silage is just dumped in front of a clamp, which makes a silage spreader useless. I want every load spread over the full length of the clamp which makes a spreader king.
Just a different mindset.
What's a diver got to do with making clamp silage? Surely you don't make it that wetSays quick and efficient, doesn't look that quick and efficient to me it's the diver that makes a good clamp not the silly gadgets
Ok I didn't have my glasses on, should have wrote driverWhat's a diver got to do with making clamp silage? Surely you don't make it that wet
We tip on the clamp until it gets too steep, far easier.I don’t think I know anyone that actually tips on a clamp here like you do,the geography of the farms are so different plus some places you would get contamination from mud etc off the wheels.
Did you forget to put the knifes back in??We tip on the clamp until it gets too steep, far easier.
I had one for sale a couple years ago. Couldn't give it awayIs anyone using one of these or similar on a clamp? Looks ideal for use with a wagon unloading on the clamp.
Any idea where it ended up? I used to do field heaps of second cut silage years ago, and used to drive up and over to unload the wagon. Saved so much time buckraking, and having to watch that the tines didn't rip up the clods etc. It would work great on open clamps and on these big concrete pads they are becoming common with the big dairy boys.I had one for sale a couple years ago.
