Don’t see many 5120s. Best thing about maxxums was the Cummins, how was the 4cyl version?

Had one here from new, a great wee handy tractor, did all the ploughing with a Kev 4F rev spring release & it handled it fine.Don’t see many 5120s. Best thing about maxxums was the Cummins, how was the 4cyl version?
A boss of mine did this in the 70s with double axle commercial axle corn trailers. In theory it was a built in failsafe. The pickup hitch bars or chains had to be disconnected. The main problem was setting up enough pressure to make sure brakes were not binding and too much pressure the oil foamed and got hot.Trailer brakes working off a Massey Ferguson 100 series is easily over come if it has Pressure control,
All you need do is fit a stronger return spring on the brake arm on the trailer, enough to hold the brakes off when pressure control lever is at the bottom,
This will hold the arms on tractor up at the top all the time, to apply the brakes just move the lever up, the more you move the lever to more it brakes as oil pressure increases, drop lever to bottom to let brakes off, works better than a trailer brake valve,
I did this on a 135 when touring the England countries in 2018, worked a treat
