Nine progressive arable farmers put themselves forward and were selected by the judging panel as Climate Change Champions in 2020. Their achievements were profiled in CPM from February through to September and CPM readers then voted for their choice as overall champion for 2020. Productivity push Enterprises across the estate dovetail, aiming for them all to perform at optimum output for minimal resource. Targeting value-added markets and driving root growth down into drought-prone soils is helping achieve this. Cultivation care Tillage has been reduced as part of a measured, on-going journey, aided through cover crops and sheep-grazing.
