Case New Holland (CNH) has enjoyed further recognition of the recent investment it has made in its products by being awarded two iF Design Awards.

The awards were granted to the Quadtrac 715, which is the highest horsepower machine Case IH has ever built, while the other went to the Steyr Plus Tractor, the design of which was focused on providing all-round versatility for today’s mixed and livestock farms.

CNH claims that both vehicles blend innovative style and aesthetics with enhanced functionality, making customers more productive, while highlighting the importance of modern design techniques.

Head of design at CNH, David Wilkie, said: “We are honoured to be recognised with these iF Design Awards.

“On behalf of the whole CNH design team, I am delighted our work to bring together style and customer-inspired innovation has caught the eye of judges.”

The styling of the new Quadtrac 715 is said to set it apart from established models in the Quadtrac range.

It emphasises the tractor’s greater pulling power and its ability to reduce compaction and so preserve soil structure thanks to its larger footprint.

The styling also has practical benefits in that the bonnet incorporates new air intake grills to aid with the cooling of the larger 15.9L FPT Cursor 16L TST engine.

it also features a reworked lighting design with new LED road lights as well as worklights that now produce a total output of over 76,000 lumens, amounting 11% more illumination over previous models.

The latest styling enables the bonnet to be raised 31% higher for easier service access and is opened and closed via an electric actuator.

Steyr Plus is back

The Steyr Plus Tractor emphasises contemporary design, strength, power, and technology, including new hood styling with integrated road and work lights.

With five models spanning 80-117hp, the new Plus line of four-cylinder tractors, which brings back a revered name to the Steyr line-up, has introduced new styling to the Steyr product range, and a new contender in a power bracket that represents the largest market in Europe by volume.

The Plus styling brings with it practical benefits such as integrated road and work lights for safer operation in the field and on the road.

The design also takes account of the technology now available with tractors. These include precision farming systems such as Steyr’s S-Fleet telematics and S-Guide steering automation.

This latest range of tractors brings such systems down to the mid-range models in the Steyr range for the first time, meeting customer demand for the easing of loads through automation.
