I’ve got a merlo telehandler and just bought a bucket with new Holland brackets I was considering gassing of bottom of brackets and welding in flat bottom plate for locking pin and welding bit of channel each side to keep it centred. Is it madness should I just order new brackets?

Whatbis your bucket worth ,compared to a new one , price of brackets ,and buggeration of swapping ,
is angle of back of bucket correct angle ,for merlo ,before you start fabricating,
I actually am not sure I’ll have to offer the merlo to it before I change brackets. It’s actually a new bucket I got I bought it at right money and it was local I’d have had to pay twice as much for one with merlo brackets!!

I managed to convert manitou to Jcb tool carrier quite successfully for a bale squease, I would never do it again as I put a value on my time ! Just buy some brackets especially for a bucket
