Cost of replacing half chassis in a Disco 2 ?

Any idea of labour costs for the above ? Have been quoted £1500 (30 hours) for a half chassis, but that was before it was looked at......
Have heard that ACE systems are scrapped when doing this and replaced with anti roll bars, after spending £1K on botched garage repairs on mine a couple of years ago.

Half chassie is a waste of time IMO because they arn't long enough.
If it was mine, and only if the rest of the vehicle was mint, i'd put a galv chassis from Richards under it and keep the ACS and SLS if it has it but then i'm a bit of a Disco fan. If your not a Land Rover fan, I don't think its worth it as you still left with a knackard old Disco when your done!
