Currently milking pure jerseys and have parlour made for them .
have a lot of Holstein x jersey heifers coming in next year and plan will be to bull again to Viking red ending up with “golden cross”
Will my parlour standings be too small ??🙈🙈

We were pure Jersey too but now have 35%+ Hojo in the herd without altering cubicles or adjusting anything on the rotary.
They'll be fine provided that you get them back in calf pdq otherwise they quickly run to fat on a Jersey diet

Haven’t crossed any to red yet only used Holstein so far , have herd mixed reports on the Viking red . But unsure what else would go for 2nd cross
Always check the temperament, but they're fine. I'm using some viking, some Ayrshire, some shorthorn in the red slot. Would use Norwegian, but can't get full proof figures from them.

Might have been better to ask that before insemination.

What do you have at the front? Troughs, or breast rail? You might be ok, maybe don't cross too many more until you have seen how they work out. Is there scope to move the walls out?

We used a Norwegian Red called smaagarda and his heifers had no milk, fortunately only used a handful of straws. 2 heifers last year one was giving 4 litres @30 days calved and the bigger yielder was sitting at 9… culled them both. 2 more to calve this year so watch this space. Will stick to NZ stuff I think. We also have some by a bull called nymoen which are better but they’re wildly inconsistent.

Mangers or troughs whatever you want to call them . One wall could be moved out which then involve moving pit over slightly etc big job but could be done . Could also narrow out slightly ? .

You’re making a mountain out of a molehill
Parlour will be fine as it is ,and if it isn’t move feeders forwards towards front of parlour so cows angle alters slightly to give a bit longer stall
Pictures of setup would be helpful
