J D Ricketts charging us £8.50 delivered, mixed size stuff but we are only 4. miles from their yard. We are collecting excellent 75-40 screened from a local quarry paying £8.75/t and mixing the two lots to get a decent base.

We put a sign on the road advertising for clean rubble and concrete and have had around 700t to date. Had it crushed in two hits with a chap and a crusher bucket for around £1900 so worked out good value stuff. Especially when cheapest we could find around here was £15.30/ton. Crush has got so dear around here a lot of sites are just using type 1 for everything

We have just got a 100 tonnes or so of tarmac from road works outside the farm it's great stuff and goes down hard when tracked in, otherwise we use type1 as it's nearly as cheap as crushed concrete and no rebar etc . Often get a few builder mates dropping old blocks etc too which are good if you want some deeper fills.

is there potential issues with waste transfer here?

hardcore has gone through the roof round here, I’m blaming HS2!

ive been stock piling for a little project over the last few years taking it when it’s cheap, got about 4000 ton now, last batch I paid for was £170 a load which is cheap. Most quotes were about £230-250 would soon tots up at this volume 😬

We have the exemptions from the EA so providing its for our own use I don't think there is a problem. No doubt someone will be along to tell me different though and how I deserve to be hung from the gallows 🙄

I think we all have that but I know it’s complex. If stone is being brought in from 3
rd parties then I think there is all sorts of complications attached, if of course you play it by the book. Having a sign up is a bit different to unofficial deals with local trades.

Need couple of hundred tons , will collect , anyone an idea what folk are asking ? tia
Not great lumps , need to wakker it down
£10/ton collected around here. It’s plenty dear enough tbh. Road planings straight from the job are the best value imo as long as you can wait for a local job, can get them under £5/ton then

What price?
Which ? The tarmac break out was nothing as they wanted to dump it rather than take it 12 miles to their tip, had two loads of plannings and two sweeping as well for nowt, the last type1 in march was 16 quid a tonne iirc for ten loads, not sure what the price is now, we are lucky we are about 10 miles from several quarries, it's the haulage that is the major cost

We're at 24 quid for limestone
