Hole in the ground is worth a hell of a lot around here for infill, stuff that comes out is almost a by-product.
Be interested to know figures - if you assume limestone costs about £5/t to get out of the ground as it has to be crushed, graded and delivered @ £14/t, anyone know how much it costs to tip a 20t load of inert landfill material??
must be getting on for £20/t?

Friend of ours shut her restaurant, for good. Its sh!t, we don't realise, as farmers, how close the general public are to not keeping a roof over their heads and food on the table.
Yes that is very true and those with assets can borrow to see us over bad times.
I guess some will do take away

You can only borrow against your income in France. Not assets.
IE, if you want to buy more ground, it has to pay for itself. Doesn't matter you own a 100 hc. down the road with no debt on it.
Not much of an overdraft on/ against your farm either. Maybe 4,000 to 15,000 if they think you can repay on asking.
