Dacia Duster?

Looked at them yesterday for the OH, they seem good value, but does anyone have one and if so whats your opinion of it? Mrs only does 3-4 k miles /year, so has to be a petrol model, used mainly for school runs and shopping. Looking forward to responses. would it be better to buy 2nd hand more upmarket with 20k miles on the clock or a brand new car with 3 years warranty and 0 miles for the same money?

And the little Mini 4x4 thing.

And wait until next year and Volvo will have a cute little XC40 thingy out, too.

Just got a Dacia stepway diesel same engine as a duster. The run about Does over 300 miles on £25 of diesel and road tax of £20 a year.Great little vehicle goes down tracks, plenty of boot room.Basic but didn't want all ribbons and bows .

I had a Dacia was nearly new and only £5000. I did about 14,000 miles In about 8 months going to farms across the UK for my work.
I have now changed it for a Lexus.
If I were only doing local mileage then I would definitely have kept the Dacia but for any journey where you may have to be in the car for over four hours one way then forget it. It is a noisy unrefined experience.

Run two Duster commercials in our business. Only had them for 12 months but doing 20k pa. So far reliable, no frills cheap 4x4. Haven't checked under for rust but I'd have thought that a warranty issue. I think they compete well with other cheap vans like the Kangoo, Berlingo etc. You get what you pay for..

With it being Renaults budget range, don't expect it to be worth anything 2nd hand.

There are a lot in France. Whether that is s good thing or not? I don't know!

What are they like safety wise? They don't look made of much? If wife and kids are going to use it wouldn't you be better off with a 2nd hand VW or something a bit more solid?

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
