Some 27 years ago, just before my son was born, the wife and I were at our first Maternity Hospital Antenatal Clinic meeting. The Midwife asked us each to stand up, give our names and tell everybody else about something nice that had happened that day.

One of the other husbands stood up, gave his name followed by “Sadly, nothing to report”.
Made the rest of us all laugh, which was nice.

However......
At the end of our last class, the Midwife asked if any of us had any questions.
That husband’s wife asked how long it would be after the birth before she could have a drink.
The Midwife said that she hoped she would find that soon after the birth, she would be given Tea and Toast.
“No!” She replied. “I mean a proper drink, such as a G&T!”

Just been out in torrential rain to catch two ewe lambs that lambed earlier, got half way back and one jumped out the trailer and got mixed in amongst a group of others 🙄
On the plus side ol Jim worked well to catch them..myself and dog both looked like drowned rats when we got back to the shed 🤣

I’m always positive. No point being any other way. We ain’t here for long.

If somethings pish change it or change what you do. No point having regrets or wasting time.

Disagree.
I like being miserable, it’s what motivates me to get up in the morning: I just have a little smile and get it over with.

Must be awful to have nothing to get up for, I would hate to be one of those people who lie about in bed all morning.
Once the alarm goes off I just have to be up and about, even if it is only ten o’clock, I always say that an hour being miserable in the morning is worth two pretending to be happy in the afternoon.

I also find my best humour in misery and misfortune but I am actually a positive person

Eccentric was an understatement for my mother in law (sadly no longer with us) she was feeding Bg Junior champagne before he was 48 hours old :)

My glass struggles to get half full alot of the time, but its at least 5/8 at the moment.(even the thought of another challenging hay making season isn't dampening my spirits)
New cocker pup in a few wks (for the misses really) and an Irish Water Spaniel pup end of the year, (for me)
This I'm probably feeling closer to 7/8.
Been a long wait, but the time is right for another.
