Well... I guess there are two options really, Ashkenazi or Sephardic, the latter generally appearing darker if you have access to old photo's.

We've spent the last five or so years trying to work out the 'East Asian' bit in mine, and got nowhere at all. Just to be sure it wasn't a mistake, I had a second test done with another firm, and it came back the same on that, but with some minor differences in the 'British' mix.

I think our forebears were far more promiscuous than we currently suppose... :banghead:
I know from the test, it's eastern european Jewish, I am guessing it's not the part of the family that comes from mid Wales, guessing the ancestors that came over from France with the Huguenots

You're sending your DNA off to a globalist corporation such as ancestry.com and they come back telling you that you're a mutt. It would not surprise me if they just throw bulls**t in there in a bid to destroy white pride and therefore national self preservation.

Diverse place old Blighty & always has been, we are nothing but a bunch of mongrels, many just don't realise it.
We were one of the last 'Empires' not one of the first

Not quite, yes there were plenty of European mixture, but we are genetically extremely close versus non-europeans of which there was hardly any of until the modern day.

We probably share most concerns about mass immigration and the highly detrimental effects it has had and continues to have, but... that is conspiracist boIIocks.

There is no doubt at all that we have more mixed DNA than was previously thought; of course white Europeans will have overwhelmingly 'white European' DNA, and this will be the same for East Asians and South Indians etc. etc.

But it is a scientifically inarguable fact that there are small amounts of 'foreign' DNA in us. There has been intercontinental travel since before the historic era; that being so, perhaps the greater surprise is that there isn't more. (y)

Viking/Scandinavian influence in many Scots throws a whole lot of outlier DNA into the mix, North American, Asian, Middle Eastern, Far Eastern, North African, they were clearly very 'sociable' as well as great travelers & traders.

That's a really good point I hadn't considered.

The 'Vikings' had trade links to the Black Sea and well beyond it to the Silk Road. No knowing what - or who  - they got up to and brought back West, and no doubting that some Asian blood was brought over.

Bearing in mind the Irish, Scots and Scandi stuff in my mix, that could well explain my 2%. of East Asian DNA...

Undoubtedly so & a fair assumption that there is a % of Asian & some form of African in a large amount of the European gene pool based on historical trade routes around the Med long before 'slavery' became the catalyst for major changes in people movement & package holidays became the norm for single women.

Suppose that's probably true, the likes of even Finland was genetically influenced by the mongols which would probably count for this 2% 'East asian'.

The ancestral DNA of our forefathers is certainly a fascinating subject when you take into account the numerous eras & how the global population has been altered/shaped by them through time.
