Get them sprayed asap. Coming colder in a few days which won't help..did mine 10 days ago. Dying nicely. Be starting stem extension before you know it..

If, like us, you want mature beef cow silage then they have to be done before hand or else they go to seed.

You don't want them in your silage full stop, cows won't eat the stalks.

In my experience earlier is better than too late, of course you can go too early but if the mature ones go to seed your too late!

How quick should you see results with dockstar?
Depends on growing conditions but around 10-14 days

Dockstar will make docks look floppy and unhappy very quickly certainly within a couple of days but the full effect of turning discoloured and twisted will take up to two weeks.

If you spray early when the docks are small or the weather is still cool the stuff just won't work. The weeds will go floppy very fast as they are dewaxed and lose a lot of water very quickly but the actual disruption in growth won't happen- the twisting of the stems will be far less pronounced and the docks will just stand back up again.
Believe me, I have seen it done more times than I can count and had to take the inevitable phone calls when folk did not follow my advice.
So long as the docks are not huge or have formed a seed head you will generally get good control of them with these products.
