Does a 20 row accord manifold exist?

As above. I know about 16,24 and 32s. I realise I could bung up 4 in a 24 row head but I’m concerned that seed distribution would not be even.

It would be fine just bung up opposite holes .

I did some tests many years ago on a few manifolds and you get quite a bit of difference between rows anyway. Like 5-15% depending on conditions

I'm sure I have a 20 outlet cap for a 24 outlet head. I was running 20 tines on the drill at one point, using off the shelf accord parts.

I recall hearing that the mk1 eyeball tends to start noticing difference only once they get up around 20%.

In theory distribution should be better and seed shouldn't stay lodged inside the head. Tramlines valves open up and any seed lodged in front of them gets blown out. In practice, I have found that some seed can still get stuck behind the vanes in the blanked outlets. The reduced outlet caps also have holes in them. I assume this is to vent a bit of air so that there isn't too much back pressure and there is still maximum air flow from the fan to the distribution head.

I also had a load of trouble with beans last spring that hadn't been cleaned well enough. Stringy bits of pod kept clogging the distribution head. I recleaned the seed and it was manageable, but then switched drills and had zero issue with head clogging. My conclusion was that bits of pod were getting trapped in the slight gap between the cap vanes and the floor of the distribution head. No vanes meant no pinch point. If I have head blocking issues again I will try running it with a standard 24 outlet cap to see if it copes better with poor samples.

Yeah it does exist,got one on my 2.5m combi.Not specially accurate tho,just has v shaped bits directing grain to the tubes either side.

i have a new lid have a bit of paper with all combinations of lids you can get . will look when get back .
if head is piped as they should be you can get proper lids with diverters on them we have 24/12 to drill every other for wild bird or maize
