Very similar recorded here since yesterday morning, Flat 10.13mm last night
the drill is staying in the shed. . . . . What a year
Full on debate here this morning - stubble turnip ground that was grazed with sheep - to drill Diego WW (2nd WW) or wait, put on the digestate and chicken muck and drill spring barley that was destined for that ground? If barley stays within £20/t of wheat, then my money is on the SB as it gives us time to do the job tidy, sort a drain etc - but a lot of pub talk that SB will be £80 whilst WW will be £160 and lets assume we get 90% of the WW acreage successfully and a lower yielding crop? Dilema.
I just did some fag packet figures and put the SB in at £125 and £100 for the fun of it - being fairly certain of my SB output, at £125, the difference between WW and SB would mean I would be better going and doing a days fencing for someone now and wait to do the SB in the spring. No way SB will be £80.
As a matter of interest, An Gof, exactly what drill are you running with at the moment?
My trader is offering £33 less for barley against wheat at harvest !!!!Full on debate here this morning - stubble turnip ground that was grazed with sheep - to drill Diego WW (2nd WW) or wait, put on the digestate and chicken muck and drill spring barley that was destined for that ground? Seems a bit over the top for anywhere in Devon and Cornwall.Vaderstad Rapid
Why do u not work and drill together?Worked up some ground Thursday with plan of drilling today. The unforeseen rain has put paid to that. Went and had a look this morning and unfortunately the drill is staying in the shed. Think this may be our last chance looking at next weeks forecast. Even thinking about broadcasting it tomorrow and then cover with KKK
What a year
