I have two fields which need limed but due to the location of them beside certain property, I can’t have quarry lime blowing over that area.

I see some people are offering bagged lime produced from egg shells which some say is much better than G-Lime.

Anyone used it or know much about it?

Have sowed some this spring bit early to tell but also grass this year Is for grazing not cutting like normal so waiting for soil test to say but looks to be more clover if that means any thing

Might try it. Doesn’t appear to be expensive compared to G-Lime which they say only lasts a year but I do wonder if it’s another quick fix products do needs done every year?

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
