Egnos signal crap!

Auto shut off/section control on the sprayer drifting and losing signal this afternoon big time! Kept losing can speed as well.
Anyone had any problems with egnos lately? Putin?

It's been fine for section control until today.

Putin has no control on the EGNOS birds and cannot disturb the signal at ground level in the UK. EGNOS should be fine for low accuracy tasks like spraying or spreading.

What are you referring with can speed? Speed signal from the CAN bus? Which sprayer controller is it? Just wonder if you are actually losing GNSS birds and speed signal from there.

Been using egnos with a Trimble 500 today spraying and haven't had any problems.
Even the tramlines on saved fields hadn't drifted since before harvest.

I have just had trimble steering fitted to the sprayer and for the moment that is on egnos as won't use it all the time. First time sprayer has been used with this fitted, teejet controller and section control has worked fine before this 95% of the time. Both fecked about alot today in the middle of field not by trees! 2 antennas on the roof!

We usually get a notification of planned outages on EGNOS and nothing has been mentioned for today, It is what it is, for a free service you cant really grumble.

It is nothing like RTK for accuracy but I bet here the question was about HW issues at the rover side. Anything more accurate than EGNOS has more HW to fail, be it paid or free.

PS. I have not used EGNOS for a long time but it isn't because it would not provide the promised accuracy but because I want more (with my own free RTK correction signal).

I pay for rangepoint and centrepoint fast on tractors and combine, don't particularly want to pay for section control or steering on the sprayer when steering is not needed as much and section control shouldn't need it.
