II dont think it will have one ?Where is it?
I have removed the exhaust pipe between the Turbo and Dpf thinking it would be there, it's not.
Is it within the Dpf unit as it seems to be able to split into 3 units, which is unusual for a Dpf apparently?![]()
Dealer has been out, because engine fault code is on , he says the Egr is blocked but doesn't know where it is?II dont think it will have one ?
Where ever it is, it will connect the exhaust system back to the air intake side.Dealer has been out, because engine fault code is on , he says the Egr is blocked but doesn't know where it is?
So probably contained within the Dpf unit?

(FPT ) case engine, reading the manual it says Dpf removal then in Brackets ( EGR) so wondering now it's all one unit.Is this a perkins 1100 engine or what ??
Before you go all warrior on the spanners, educate yourself on what a typical external egr system looks like(FPT ) case engine, reading the manual it says Dpf removal then in Brackets ( EGR) so wondering now it's all one unit.
Will strip down DPF and see what happens.
That's where I thought it would be nothing in that corrugated pipe, there's a lambada switch on that piece. If you look at the exhaust manifold towards the back of the engine you will should see a short corrugated pipe this goes up to the EGR valve and EGR cooler. IIRC you have to take the DPF off the top to access it so assume this is what the manual refers to.
You need to lift the valve and cooler up to allow the EGR valve to be pulled out, as there is not enough room to do it when it's on
Thank you @Thepowerofdensil , definitely haven't got that part on the tractor, corrugated pipe comes out the turbo and curves around to the bottom of the Dpf , no valves. Not in the pipe but the valve that it connects to.
See how you get on, the EGR can soot up and stick open

Quite likely, just had a good look ! Above the alternator, oh well the Dpf needed cleaning anyway, that's so much easier to get toYou're looking at the wrong thing

Looks like 2 of them don`t know what they`re doing...With respect you don't know what you're doing.
Post a photo of the engine and we will draw on it the relevant parts.
That's very true but seem as though the dealers mechanic couldn't find it and quoted ÂŁ1200 to remove Dpf to find it , I thought I'd have a go.With respect you don't know what you're doing.

Do you mean this corrugated bit off the manifoldIf you look at the exhaust manifold towards the back of the engine you will should see a short corrugated pipe this goes up to the EGR valve and EGR cooler. That is the feed tube to the egr valve yes. Follow that , and you will get to it.Do you mean this corrugated bit off the manifold
